I had heard many stories and rumors about this Club which caters to the boomers. But I was pleasantly surprised once I finally found it. The guys here were rather chatty and friendly not what you would expect in NYC. It has a Townhouse feel where you think there should be a fireplace and the crowd drinking cognac wearing ascots. The bartenders were sweet and made a pleasant drink. It is worth a visit.

Went here for a glass of wine, I really enjoyed it, it was classy, we got to listen to someone sing and play the piano, everyone seemed very friendly. If I'm in the city again I would like to come back.

Great service from the bartender really lovely time, and be prepared to pay...and worth wvery penny

What a great find while in NYC! A friend recently moved nearby and recommended we meet there for cocktails and to listen to some piano music. We love the vibe and the decor. Apparently it was recently remodeled and it showed. The bartenders and servers were very friendly and the clientele seemed to be mostly locals there to socialize. Two caveats: It can be quite crowded on busy nights so plan on standing the entire time it the place is full. And be prepared to be "hit" on, especially if you fall on the older end of the age spectrum. Apparently this place is known for younger guys who are looking for older men. We discovered that on our second visit on a weekday night when we were obviously the "new meat" in town. While we were quick to dismiss these come-ons, one guy in particular did not get the hint and stalked us all night. While he was very nice, his tendency to talk about and brag of his accomplishments was a turn off. And any attempt to move to another area of the bar didn't work as he would follow like a puppy dog. Sheesh! But that won't keep us from returning the next time we are in the city because the positives outweighed the negatives. It was delightful to be in a gay bar with soft piano music where you could actually talk to people as opposed to blaring music and flashing lights like most of the other places we visited. Two thumbs up Townhouse!!!!

A vintage piano bar in New York City is a charming and nostalgic establishment that harks back to a bygone era. The moment you walk into the Townhouse, you are greeted with an elegant and timeless decor, with dim lighting, plush seating, and vintage accents from a bygone era. The focal point of the bar is a polished piano, positioned prominently in the room and driven by talented pianists who are happy to engage with the crowd, creating a lively and interactive atmosphere. Some may consider such a bar pretentious, which is easily confused with intellectualism, confidence and reservedness, chief traits of their usual customer base. The townhouse is the perfect spot to kick back, relax, and enjoy a strong and comfortable drink in good company, minus the wandering escorts of course. Cheers!

Prepare to time travel back into the 70s. The gold embossed red wallpaper, the matching low seat lounge chairs in what1e almost feels like an old hotel bar - or a townhouse. The soundtrack is 70s with some early 80s with a mature crowd of gay men and the Jewish women who love them. I heard it was a sugar daddy bar. I didn't get that vibe, but most everyone was over, 45 say, with plenty of 60s plus. People were friendly. Felt like old New York. Quirky and down to earth. Drinks are strong. They're trying not to be a dive bar which is so unusual for a gay bar.

The atmosphere was great, people are relaxed, manager Mr. Michael is very courteous, over all, a great night spent at this piano bar
